About AiSeoCourse.net

AiSeoCourse.net is a free 8-lesson course about getting a local business found, read and cited by AI search. It is published by LocusPilot and written by Adam Yong. There's no paywall, no email capture and no account.

Disclosures, up front. LocusPilot publishes this course and is used as an example in Lesson 5. The AI SEO Rainmakers link on the homepage and in Lesson 8 is a Skool referral link. Nothing else on this site is paid placement.

Why this course exists

Local business owners kept asking us the same question during LocusPilot builds: why does ChatGPT recommend someone else? The answer is rarely mysterious. It's usually a thin or inconsistent business profile, a website with nothing specific enough to quote, or a stale record on a third-party site that nobody has looked at since 2019.

Those answers are worth writing down once, in public, rather than repeating them in client calls. That's what this course is. It's deliberately foundation level: eight lessons, roughly 80 minutes, aimed at an owner or a small-agency SEO who has a website or a Google Business Profile and wants to be named in AI answers.

What it is based on

Since December 2025 we've built more than 200 local business sites at LocusPilot. The lessons come from what those builds, and their Google Search Console data, actually show about how AI search treats small local entities. Where something is uncertain, we say so instead of guessing confidently.

Every number carries a date and a source. The editorial policy sets out how that works, how often we review the curriculum, and how to send a correction.

Who it is not for

Enterprise SEO teams, affiliate operations and rank-and-rent portfolios will find this too basic. Lesson 8 says so plainly and points those readers to AI SEO Rainmakers, a paid community run by Charles Floate. That link is a Skool referral link, disclosed here and on the lesson itself.

FAQ

About the course and its publisher

Why publish a free course at all?

LocusPilot builds sites for local businesses. The questions that come up during those builds are the same ones this course answers, and answering them once in public beats answering them one client at a time. The course also demonstrates the thing it teaches: a site AI search can read and cite.

Is any of this sponsored?

No. We take no sponsorship from SEO software vendors, and we don't recommend a tool in exchange for payment. The two commercial relationships that do exist, LocusPilot as publisher and the AI SEO Rainmakers referral link, are disclosed on this page and wherever they come up in the lessons.

How current is the material?

We review the curriculum at least monthly, and every lesson carries a last-updated date. Changes worth knowing about go on the changelog page. AI search behaviour moves quickly, so anything time-sensitive is dated in the text rather than written as if permanent.

Can I republish or quote from the lessons?

Quote what's useful and link back to the page you took it from. If you want to republish a full lesson, or translate one, email hello@aiseocourse.net first so we can agree on attribution.
